Nature, Parks & Outdoors

Hartsholme Country Park is situated in the southwest of Lincoln, adjacent to Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve, approximately three miles from the city centre.

The site comprises Victorian landscaped gardens, a large reservoir, woodlands and grasslands. Many features, both natural and built, survive from the original landscaping of the 1860s. The City of Lincoln Council manage the park to maintain the existing habitats and access routes.

Dog walkers and those who love a walk with family, friends or on their own will love Hartsholme. It's peaceful surroundings and surprising wildlife, being within the city. The squirrels are very tame and will eat out of your hand. If you're lucky you'll spot wild deer. There's plenty of birds in and out of the water. It's a lovely place to be and ideal for Children with the children's play area and large grass playing field.
